From 8th until 11th September, 2014, within TEMPUS project (JP 543662-2013 "Improvement of partnership with enterprises by enhancement
of a regional quality management potentials in WBC"), two conferences were held at Faculty of organizational sciences in Belgrade (19th EURAS Annual
Standardisation Conference - Cooperation among standardisation organisations and the scientific and academic community and 11th International Conference
"Standardisation, prototypes and quality: a means of Balkan countries' collaboration"). Participants from more than 20 countries published their papers at the
conferences and attendees came from different countries such as: Greece, Turkey, Romania, Belgian, Netherlands, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy etc.
As result of conferences, within Tempus project, two proceedings papers were published.
The representatives of the WBC partners on the TEMPUS project, attended the conferences which encompassed Tempus meeting, where previous activities in the
TEMPUS project were reviewed and present and future activities and issues in project were discussed.
Monday, 8th September 2014.
On the first day of conference meeting with WBC members of TEMPUS project was held at Faculty of organizational sciences, where previous activities
in the TEMPUS project were reviewed and present and future issues in project were discussed. On the same day, conference "19th EURAS Annual
Standardisation Conference - Cooperation among standardisation organisations and the scientific and academic community" was officially started
and opened by EURAS president, Henk de Vries. The articles were presented in following session: Research(ers) and Standardisation and Setting Standards.
Tuesday, 9th September 2014.
On the second day Conference "11th International Conference "Standardization, prototypes and quality: a means of Balkan countries' collaboration", was
opened by host (University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences and Department of Quality Management and Standardization, FOS).
The conference proceeded at joint session with EURAS conference. The sessions were conducted within the following topics: "Why Participate
in Standards Setting", "After the Standards Setting Process", "Toward community of standardization professionals", "Managers Perception of the
Role of Organizations for Standardization" and "Education About Standardization - Study of student opinions about education for standardization
and their knowledge about this subject".
Wednesday, 10th September 2014.
After following sessions: "Corporate Perspectives on Standardisation", "Standardisation and Innovation", "Standards and Quality in Society,
Management and Economy", "Standards and Quality in Education", EURAS Conferences was official closed. Presentations of papers within Balkan international
conference were processed. (Session: "Standards and Quality in Health Service Sector").
Thursday, 11th September 2014.
On Thursday, a workshop was held on the subject "How to write a publishable article" by Henk de Vries from Erasmus University Rotterdam,
Netherlands, where students and researchers could learn how to appropriately write articles for scientific journal and conferences.
The sessions of Standards and Quality in Society - the Historical Aspects, and Standards and Quality in production - Logistics and IT
Sector were held, and after Balkan coordinating committee meeting, the conference was officially closed.
