Publication of book – ANALIZA STANJA PREDUZECA SA ASPEKTA KVALITETA U SARAJEVSO-ROMANIJSKOM REGIONU - prof. dr Slaviša Moljevic, prof.dr Bogdan Maric, doc.dr Vlado Medakovic, MsC Ranka Gojkovic, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of East Sarajevo.

Center for Quality, Metrology and standardizytion of University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was published a book titled “ANALIZA STANJA PREDUZECA SA ASPEKTA KVALITETA U SARAJEVSO-ROMANIJSKOM REGIONU”. Through the TEMPUS JP 543662-2013 project "Improvement of Partnership with Enterprises by Enhancement of a Regional Quality Management Potentials and WB" was conducted additional verification and validation of previously implemented research. In this way the continuity was achieved in improving business activities in terms of the quality of the Sarajevo-Romanija region, which is presented in this book. (Preview)

Publication of book - QUALITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, Dr. Sc. Sabahudin Jašarevic and Mr. Sc. Džeraldina Milicevic, University of Zenica

The book is the result of research part of the master's thesis at the postgraduate study in Management quality and ideas are still carried forward through the implementation of TEMPUS Project JP 543662-2013 / Improvement of partnership with enterprises by enhancement of a regional quality management potentials in WBC (EQIWBC). Representative from the Business innovation center, Serbia visited the University of Montenegro

Within the regular activities of EQIWBC project, representatives of Business innovation center Kragujevac Mr. Vojislav Veljkovic and Mr. Ivan Markovic, visited the University of Montenegro. Serbian delegation was hosted by Prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapic and Prof. dr Jelena Sakovic Jovanovic at the Faculty of mechanical engineering in Podgorica. During the three day visit (21.-23. November 2016), participants discusses the overall achievements of the project, held Individual meetings on reporting, financial issues and preparing financial documents for the external financial audit as well as explored the possibilities of improving the communication system and closer cooperation with local environment. Furthermore, participants discussed the role of university and business incubators with respect to monitoring of preparation for ISO certification. (Galery)

19th November 2016 – Meeting with Maria Beatriz Marques

Maria Beatriz Marques (Paulo & Beatriz - Consultores Associados, Portugal) was a guest of the Center for Quality (University of Montenegro, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica). Within the Tempus project EQIWBC, meeting was held in the premises of the Centre for Quality which was attended by Maria Beatriz Marques, Jelena Jovanovic and Aleksandar Vujovic. World Quality Day was celebrated in Montenegro solemn session of the Committee on the quality of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, held on 10 November 2016. 08th November 2016 – Meeting with professors form Cracow University of Economics

Professors Piotr Kafel and Pawel Nowicki, form Cracow University of Economics, held a lectures for the students and professors of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (University of Montenegro). Topics of the presentations were Methodology of risk management in Quality management systems and Quality, management system standards and root case analysis. After the lecture, there was a meeting of members of the Center for Quality of the University of Montenegro with Polish partners. At this meeting, impressions of the lectures were discussed, and it was made a short summary of the activities carried out within the means of the Tempus project EQIWBC, with analysis of the current situation and the agreement on further activities related to the project (List of participants 2, Galery)

09th November 2016 – Meeting with professors form Cracow University of Economics and representatives of EOQ

Professors Zdravko Krivokapic, Jelena Jovanovic and Aleksandar Vujovic (Center for Quality, University of Montenegro) held a meeting within Tempus project EQIWBC with Piotr Kafel and Pawel Nowicki, from Cracow University of Economics, and Eric Janssens and Claudia Butanu, representatives of EOQ (European Organisation for Quality). Current developments in the project were the main topic of the meeting with emphasis on the achieved results and mechanisms of future cooperation. (List of participants, Galery)

26th – 30th September 2016 – Meeting of partners of Tempus project EQIWBC and International Conference ICQME 2016

Meeting of partners of Tempus EQIWBC project is held in hotel Vile Oliva (Petrovac, Montenegro) at the end of September 2016 (Link toward Agenda). Among other things, realized and future activities were presented according to the work packages. Financial issues were discussed and financial documents for the external financial audit were prepared. It was also held a round table entitled “Quality – training”, and professors Milan Perovic and Zdravko Krivokapic were moderators. Center for Quality of University of Montenegro, together with Center for Quality of University of Kragujevac and Association for Quality and Standardization Serbia, realized 10th international conference ICQME 2016 (Quality, Management, Environment, Education, Engineering). 29th September 2016 – Workshop delivered by Martí Casadesús

Martí Casadesús, director of the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency, held a workshop in the Rectorate of University of Montenegro entitled Accreditation in High Education. First of all he introduced Catalan University System and its international rankings, and after that he met the participants with the main activities of Quality Assurance Agency directed towards Institutional Quality, Assessment of teaching & research staff, Knowledge generation and transfer. Forum of Quality and Business excellence in Belgrade

Professor Zdravko Krivokapic, Prof. Jelena Jovanovic, Prof. Slavko Arsovski, Prof Zoran Punosevac and Prof. Jovan Filipovic was at the Conference called Forum of Quality and Business excellence in Belgrade. All of them presented their papers at te conference. During the conference they realized a meeting on topic of finalization of Tempus project. Representative from the University of Minho, Portugal visited the University of East Sarajevo

As the part of activates of TEMPUS project EQIWBC, professor Dr. Goran Putnik from the University of Minho, Portugal visited the University of East Sarajevo. During the first day of the visit, professor Putnik held the meeting on topic of Monitoring of preparation for ISO certification with representatives from the University of East Sarajevo and subsequently with representatives of the City development agency of East Sarajevo. The protocol on support to the project realization

The Chamber of Commerce Kragujevac confirms the willingness of providing support, in accordance with its possibilities and needs, the realization of the EQIWBC TEMPUS project, through the promotion of regional cooperation and cooperation with enterprises as well as through:

  • Assistance in the identification needs and requirements of enterprises;
  • Participation in realization of round tables;
  • Participation in conferences in the field of quality;
  • Participation in the organization workshops for companies;
  • Participation in the organization meetings with company representatives;
  • Participation in promotional campaigns;
  • Participation in the dissemination of project results.

Organization of workshops to promote importance of quality management at the University of Kragujevac

On 9th June representatives of Center for Quality, University of Kragujevac (prof. dr Slavko Arsovski and prof. dr Miladin Stefanovic) delivered two workshops for academic and business people in order to promote importance of quality management: (1) The character of the existing paradigm of quality and the Quality of life and (2) The Quality management - current trends and future directions of development. Meeting at the University of Kragujevac

TEMPUS meeting was held from 8th to 10th June, 2016 at the University of Kragujevac. The aim of this meeting was monitoring of preparation enterprises for ISO certification which had already been trained by Center for Quality, University of Kragujevac. During this meeting WBC project partners presented realized and planned future activities by the work packages to EU partners (from the Intermediate Report to the present time). They also discussed the current issues, with particular focus on financial issues and preparation of financial documents for the external financial audit. The activities of the Final Steering Committee meeting that will be delivered in Montenegro were planned. On 9th June representatives of Center for Quality, University of Kragujevac delivered two workshops for academic and business people in order to promote importance of quality management: (1) The character of the existing paradigm of quality and the Quality of life and (2) The Quality management - current trends and future directions of development. In the scope of project activities - Guest lecturers of professionals for students, representatives from consulting company Paulo & Beatriz – Consultores Associados, professor Paulo Baptista and Maria Beatriz Marques delivered two lectures for students of University of Kragujevac: (1) ISO 9001:2015 – Quality management systems and (2) ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental management systems. All project partners participated at 1st International conference on Quality of life, which was organized by Center for Quality, University of Kragujevac. Monitoring of preparation for ISO certification, University of Belgrade

Monday 6th June
At the very beginning, Professor Zdravko Krivokapic, the coordinator of the project, welcomed the partners and presented the agenda. Also, Professor Jovan Filipovic presented the Faculty, Quality Management and Standardization Department and the results that have been achieved within the project. The first day Professor Goran Putnik from University of Minho, Portugal presented an interesting topic about contribution to learning factors theory and practice. The second presentation related to quality management system is presented by Paulo Baptista (Paulo & Beatriz - Consultores Associados, Portugal) who exposed differences in the new version of ISO 9001:2015 – Quality management systems - requirements. Also, Beatriz Marques (Paulo & Beatriz - Consultores Associados, Portugal) taught about ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental management systems and the changes that have occurred within the new version of standard. At the end, Merce Bernardo (University of Barcelona) introduced the useful game within quality management subject. After presentations we discussed about the issues and advised with EU partners about monitoring of preparation enterprises for ISO certification.
Tuesday 7th June
The second day, we presented the Quality Media Center (QMS) founded by FOS as one of results of project activities. Also, partners visited the FOS premises and ISO 17025:2005 accredited metrological laboratory. At the end of the day we planned future activities within the project. (List of participants 6. University of Zenica are members of the Center for Management, Quality and Development at Impulse Creative Center

On June 3rd 2016, in the building of the Centre for Modern Technologies in the Business Zone Zenica 1, an Impulse Creative Center was officially opened. The Impulse Creative Center has been set up under the second phase of the project MENTOR (Modern Economy Through New Technology-Oriented Research), which is funded by the European Union in the amount of 499,778 euros to support the local economic development in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project partners are Local Development Agency ZEDA , City of Zenica and the University of Zenica. The project also provides for the establishment of testing laboratories for joinery products, doors and windows. The participants in this project from the University of Zenica are members of the Center for Management, Quality and Development, Prof. Sabahudin Jašarevic PhD and Prof. Malik Cabaravdic PhD. The establishment of this center is one of the important activities of the project. This center intends to become a gathering place for young people as well as for all companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who wish to improve the knowledge and skills of their employees and to apply of modern technology and equipment in their production processes, which will make their products more effective and economical, and to make the companies themselves more competitive in the domestic and foreign market. The project will also expand the scope of activities of the LIND laboratory (Accredited laboratory for furniture testing) onto testing of doors and windows and facade elements, and to improve the cooperation between Zenica Development Agency with institutions of public administration (local, cantonal, entity and state), small and medium enterprises (SME), education, research , development and other similar institutions. Agreement on mutual cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH

After previously conducted preliminary discussions between the dean of the Polytechnic Faculty, prof. Sabahudin Jasarevic and President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH Mirsad Jašarspahic, an Agreement on mutual cooperation of the two institutions was signed. The signing ceremony took place during the 4th Conference "MAINTENANCE 2016" Zenica on June 3rd 2016. Within the agreement, the Federal Chamber of Commerce committed to, among other things, promote entrepreneurship and management, track and transmit international experience in these areas, and in particular encouraging the certification of the the quality management systems, perform research in the field of scientific and technological development, harmonization of economic and social interests in the field of ecology, encourage corporate social responsibility, and to increase the competitiveness of the continuous process of professional and business education and professional education. Polytechnic University of Zenica, among other things, pledged by this Agreement to cooperate with the Chamber on preparing and implementing national and international projects, to inform the Chamber about the activities regarding adaptation of higher education to labor market needs, to make proposals for economic development, helping to define measures of economic and development policies of interest to the economy. International Conference "Maintenance 2016"

The fourth international conference "Maintenance 2016", which is jointly organized by the University of Zenica and the Maintenance Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina , took place in Zenica, from 2nd to 4th of June 2016. The Conference brought together experts who are theoretically and practically engaged in maintenance activities and the structural organization of industrial maintenance. The Conference Scientific Committee accepted 36 papers written by 80 authors and co-authors from seven countries. Most of the papers were expert papers whose authors came from the industry, higher education and research institutions. Maintenance is a basic function of the total social reproduction, because anyone who uses any tools or equipment, must keep the function of maintaining these assets in their exploitation. The goal of this conference is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge among the participants and users of such services. Thematically, the conference covers a broad area, with ten fields of maintenance, and among other thematic groups (Reliability and maintenance, Quality and maintenance, Management and maintenance, Education Maintenance, Risk Management, Safety at work, Ecology and Maintenance), a special attention is paid to the organization of human resources in the field of maintenance. Official opening of the training center in ArcelorMittal Zenica

In order to ensure successful implementation of practical training in various segments of occupational safety in the steelworks ArcelorMittal Zenica, a specialized training center was officially opened on on April 26th 2016. The center will be used to perform the practical exercises, simulate certain situations that may occur in the production facilities and to demonstrate proper application of safety equipment and regulations, in order to improve the readiness of all employees to perform their daily tasks without any injuries. The opening of the training center was attended by the participants of the Workshop, which was related to OHSAS systems and which was organized in February at the University of Zenica. Each year, ArcelorMittal Zenica celebrates April 28th, the "Day of health and safety", through a series of activities related to increasing awareness on occupational safety and labor health preservation. On this occasion, it was presented how to perform the training for work at height, work in areas of limited movement, what procedures must be followed in the handling of electrical equipment, and how to use the fire-fighting equipment. Attendees were addressed by the CEO of Arcelor Mittal Zenica, Mr. Biju Nair, who said: "ArcelorMittal Zenica is continuously working on improving the safety at work within all its plants in order to achieve its ultimate goal - zero injuries. Application of Corporate rules on health and safety, the Standards for the prevention of fatal accidents, the project which includes the organization of neatness and cleanliness in the facilities, but above all, constant training of employees and contractors in the company on occupational safety, was and remains the first priority in ArcelorMittal Zenica on the way to reaching that goal." Professor Paulo Baptista guest lectures at University of Zenica

As part of the activities of the TEMPUS Project JP 543662-2013 "Improvement of partnership with Enterpises by enhancement of regional quality management potentials in WBC", the international consultant, Professor Paulo Baptista from Portugal visited University of Zenica. Professor Baptista is an associate professor at the Universidade Lusófona do Porto, in the Department of Environmental Engineering, director of consulting company Paulo & Beatriz – Consultores Associados and technical auditor for the Portuguese certification body (APCER). During the visit, professor Baptista has held two lectures, on April 6th 2016 for teachers and associates of the University of Zenica, about ISO 9001:2015, and on April 7th for final-year students of technical faculties of the University of Zenica, about two topics: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 . Both lectures vere very well accepted by the participants. Professor Baptista also visited and attended meetings in Zenica Development Agency ZEDA, and he visited the Impulse Innovative Center, which is being implemented within the framework of EU project MENTOR 2, with active participation of members of the Center for Management, Quality and Development, Dr. Sabahudin Jašarevic and Dr. Malik Cabaravdic. This visit was also used to discuss Agency's previous activities with employees of ZEDA. On April 8th, we visited the local company "Alloy Wheels" in Jajce, owned by a german investor, and which produces alloy wheels for German automotive industry. His visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina was also used for sightseeing of the fortress at the old town Jajce, medieval fortress Vranduk near Zenica, and the pyramids in Visoko. Participation in Quality week 2016 09.-11.03.2016., Belgrade, Serbia

On March 09, representatives of University of Montenegro, University of Kragujevac and Association for quality and standardization of Serbia participated on Quality week 2015 in Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Serbia 09-11.03.2016, in order to promote importance of QMS in WBC. Center for Quality, University of Kragujevac and the Center for quality, University of Montenegro were awarded for exceptional contribution to spreading the culture of quality and business excellence in Serbia and the region. Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina

On March 2nd 2016 the representative of the Center for Management, Quality and Development Zenica, together with representatives from Local Development Agency ZEDA Zenica, attended the presentation of the project "Quality Infrastructure in the Western Balkans" (IQ Project), which should be realized in cooperation and with funding from the Swedish International Development Agency SIDA, European Free Trade association EFTA, European Committee for Standardization CEN, and the European Union. The host of the presentation was the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which brought together all the relevant institutions to attend this presentation. The project will cover all the Western Balkan countries and these preparatory meetings have already been held in Croatia and Bulgaria, and the activities will follow in Serbia, Albania and other Western Balkan countries. The meeting was lead by Mr. David Norris, IQ Project leader, Ms. Klelija Balta from the Institute for Accreditation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Dionysios Kyriakidis, an expert in the field of metrology. The IQ project intends to support ensuring consistent implementation of EU legislation in order to improve industrial competitiveness, to enable National Institute of Metrology, authorized institutions and potential Notified Bodies participation in activities of "proficiency testing", to establish a regional forum of conformity assessment bodies, and to create a functional communication and coordination mechanism and tools for market surveillance among the countries involved in the project and cooperation with neighboring EU countries. During the meeting, a draft action plan of activities, objectives, and key project points were also discussed. The next meeting will be held after the project team visits all the countries of potential participants. Centre for Management, Quality and Development at the University of Zenica OHSAS 18001 Workshop

The Centre for Management, Quality and Development at the University of Zenica organized the workshop on February 25th 2016, about the standard OHSAS 18001. The workshop was dedicated to the practical experience of local factories that have achieved remarkable results in this field. Speakers at the seminar were:

  • Haris Trobradovic, who processed the importance of standards for factories and gave an overview of the basic requirements
  • Mustafa Imamovic, PhD (Arcelor Mittal Zenica) and Amir Halep, PhD (Cement Kiln Kakanj) who spoke about the practical experiences from their respective companies, which are already certified according to this standard
The attendees have shown great interest and set up a number of issues pertaining to the specific situation of individual factories. Professor Mustafa Imamovic announced the opening of a special training center in Arcelor Mittal Zenica steelworks in April 2016, which will be intended for the training of employees in some specific situations of security, which are typical for metallurgical factories. The workshop was attended by about 60 participants from different companies and students from the University of Zenica. (Gallery, List of participants)

On February 04, 2016 associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed training for professionals from enterprise Olympic travel Ltd., Kragujevac. Olympic travel Ltd. Is tour operator with offices in Belgrade and Kragujevac. Training was performed in the field of ISO 9001 (List of participants, Statement)

Training in EkoLak Ltd.

On January 20, 2016 associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed training for CE mark for professionals from enterprise EkoLak Ltd.. EkoLak Ltd. is a manufacturer of ecological coatings for wood. (List of participants, Statement)

Center for Management, Quality and Development Zenica workshops with employees of IPI Institute

On Center for Management, Quality and Development Zenica conducted additional training and workshops with employees of IPI Institute in two terms (in December 2015 and January 2016). The topics covered were the ISO 9001 quality management standard, and set of standards in the field of information security management. The latter is very important to the Institute, because they have to deal with large amounts of data relating to vehicles and their owners. IPI Institute was certified according to both of these standards, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. "Institute for Economical Engineering" was established in 2004 under the Treaty on establishing a limited liability company, and it was registered into the court registry, by No. U/I-658/04 on 10.05.2004. "Institute for Economic Engineering" Zenica is a company registered for research and experimental development, planning and design, consulting and training. It was estavblished with the idea to promote scientific and technical potential, accumulated knowledge and experience. IPI - Institute consists of two departments:

  • Department "Engineering"
  • Department "Vehicle Center"
The "Institute for Economic Engineering" Zenica is authorized to supervise the stations for technical inspection of vehicles, in accordance with the applicable legal regulations for this field, to implement the necessary measures and actions for achieving a harmonious and professional system of stations in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to provide the quality performance within its competence. In this sense, the stations and the Institute shall ensure that their technical inspection activities are organized as a single system, in a way that will contribute to road safety improvement, and the efficient and professional fulfillment of the needs of vehicle owners. Participation on 17th national and 3rd International scientific conference 09.-11.12.2015., Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia

ORepresentatives of University of Montenegro, University of Kragujevac and University of East Sarajevo participated on 17th national and 3rd international scientific conference organized by the Association for quality and standardization of Serbia in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia in order to promote importance of QMS in WBC. Training in 4IT Ltd

During December, 2015 associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed training in the fields of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 for professionals from enterprise 4IT Ltd.. Company 4IT Ltd. is engaged in software development. (Statement)

Training in ComTech Ltd.

On November 16 2015 associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed training for professionals from enterprise ComTech Ltd. ComTech Ltd. is company specialized for special trade contractors. The training was performed in the field of ISO 9001. (Statement)

Management Systems standards Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro Tuesday, 10. 11. 2015.

Seminar on introduction to the new edition of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards was held on 10 November 2015, at the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro. Seminar about Management Systems standards aimed at presenting the new requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 that were published in September 2015. The seminar was attended by more then 30 representatives of organizations from Montenegro. Lecturers from the Center for Quality, Zdravko Krivokapic and Jelena Jovanovic pointed out that the establishment of quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015 and environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 can help organizations to improve its overall performance and to establish a solid basis for the development of initiatives for sustainable development of the organization. It was interactive type of the seminar where representatives of organizations actively participated in, by asking questions and developing a very interesting discussion. (Agenda, Galery)

Training in UR Love Love

On November 5, 2015 associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed HACCP training for professionals from enterprise UR Love Love, Kragujevac. UR Love Love is restaurant and mobile food service. (Statement)

Training in Flora komerc Ltd.

During November 2015, associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed training for professionals from enterprise Flora komerc Ltd., Gornji Milanovac. Mobility to University of East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina 19-23.10.2015.

From October 19th to 23th 2015, EQIWBC project partners from Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, Slovakia, Poland and EOQ visited University of East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in the scope of activities related to the project. This visit was planned in the scope of activities of the TEMPUS JP 543662-2013 EQIWBC project (DEV 3.3. - Monitoring of preparation for ISO certificate and DISS 1 - Presentation at partner University). During the visit, presentations were held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and East Sarajevo and City development agency of East Sarajevo on the following topics:

  • The tradeoff researching and teaching from the point of view of the student
  • Quality and leadership in Higher Education
  • Doctoral studies at Universities

On October 31, 2015 associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed training for professionals from enterprise Fazi Ltd. Fazi Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers of electronic roulettes in the World with headquarters in Nis, Serbia. Training in Progres inzenjering Ltd.

During October 2015, associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed training for professionals from enterprise Progres inzenjering Ltd., Cacak. The company is engaged in production of machines and equipment in the field of thermodynamics and process engineering. The training were performed in the fields of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and CE mark. Meeting with representative of the Regional Chamber of Commerce Kragujevac

On October 15, 2015 prof. dr Slavko Arsovski representative of University of Kragujevac had meeting with representative of the Regional Chamber of Commerce Kragujevac. Since Chamber of Commerce is a key partner in providing a link with the world of labor, prof. dr Slavko Arsovski was offer training programs to business sector in the fields that cover the EQIWBC project to the members of Regional Chamber of Commerce Kragujevac.

Training in SZTR Puslica

On October 14, 2015 associates from the Center for quality of the University of Kragujevac performed HACCP training for professionals from enterprise SZTR Puslica, Kragujevac. SZTR Puslica is engaged in production of cakes and cookies. (Statement)

Quality Management System - Requests of Standard ISO 9001:2015 Chamber of Economy of Montenegro

Seminar on introduction to the new edition of the standard ISO 9001 was held October 6, 2015, in Chamber of Economy of Montenegro. The subject of seminar was the Quality Management System - Requests of Standard ISO 9001:2015. The aim of the seminar was the presentation requirements of the new standards ISO 9001 which was published in September this year as well as changes in relation to the issue of standards from 2008. The seminar was attended by 30 representatives of organizations from Montenegro who already have established a quality management system in accordance with the old standard edition and want to harmonize their business with ISO 9001: 2015. Monitoring of preparation for ISO certification

As the part of activates of Project EQIWBC (Improvement of Partnership with by Enhancement of a Regional Quality Managment Potentials in WBC), University of East Sarajevo visited the professor Paulo Baptista from the Paulo & Beatriz - Consultores Associados, Portugal. During the first day of the visit, professor Baptista held the meeting on topic of Monitornig of preparation for ISO certification with representatives from the University of East Sarajevo and subsequently with representatives of the City development agency of East Sarajevo. Professor Baptista hold a lecture at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in East Sarajevo for students and University staff.

Training of professionals from enterprises - Maticna biblioteka

The representatives of TEMPS EQIWBC JP 543662-2013 project at University of East Sarajevo provided consulting services and monitoring in preparation of certification of ISO 9001 at Maticna biblioteak at East Sarajevo. Consulting team was consisted of members from Center for Quality, Standardization and Metrology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at University of East Sarajevo. Monitoring visit to the project of EQIWBC in Montenegro

On September 29, 2015 the National Erasmus+ Office visited the University of Montenegro in the context of continuous monitoring of the Tempus programme the EACEA. The purpose of the visit is to learn about the activities realised and products developed so far, as well as to observe if the EQIWBC TEMPUS project has encountered any problems in operational and/or financial implementation that can be discussed and solved. Project coordinator Prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapic, dr Jelena Jovanovic, dr Aleksandar Vujovic hosted representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office Ranko Lazovic i Vanja Drljevic. At the beginning of the meeting the project coordinator, prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapic was presented current results of the project and then all participants were discussed about the suggestions from the previous monitoring, project results and financial and administrative issues. University of Kragujevac and University of Belgrade purchased and installed equipment

The equipment was selected according to needs of the Faculties and Universities respecting the goals and objectives of the project. The procedure for purchase of equipment was opened to public so number of professors took part in definition of the list of equipment. University of Kragujevac and University of Belgrade implement conjoint purchase of equipment. University of Kragujevac implements the purchase of equipment according to tender procedure. University of East Sarajevo purchased and installed equipment

According to needs of the Faculties and University of East Sarajevo and with respecting the goals and objectives of the project, the equipment was selected and purchased. (Equipment list UNES, Galery)

Equipping/modernizing regional QMCs UoM

University of Montenegro is purchased equipment according to the list of equipment, which was selected according to needs of the Faculties and University respecting the goals and objectives of the project. The procedure for purchase of equipment was opened to public. (Equipment list UoM)

Meeting with representatives of the Development Agency ZEDA On 09.07.2015.

In premises of the Polytechnic Faculty a meeting was organized with representatives of Local Development Agency ZEDA Zenica. The meeting was attended by Director of the Agency, Mr. Muhsin Ibrahimagic and manager of the laboratory LIND, Mr. Amir Kubat. At the meeting we discussed about the organized seminars for employees of the Agency and the company GLOVIS, and expressed satisfaction with them, as well as the possibility of continuing cooperation with other companies that operate in the Business Incubator run by ZEDA. We also discussed the future activities of the Agency, as well as about the opportunities for cooperation and involvement in their projects. (Gallery).

Steering committee meeting at University of Kragujevac

During the first week of June, EQIWBC project partners from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, Slovakia, Poland, Portugal and EOQ visited University of Kragujevac, Serbia in the scope of activities related to the project. Project partners had a steering committee meeting at Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac. They discussed about realized and future activities on the TEMPUS project which are presented in the intermediate report. Also, financial and managerial issues were discussed. Guest lecturers of professionals for students – University of Kragujevac

During the first week of June, EQIWBC project partners from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, Slovakia, Poland, Portugal and EOQ visited University of Kragujevac, Serbia. Follow-up meeting at University of Kragujevac EQIWBC Tempus project in Serbia

On May 21 2015, the Tempus - Erazmus+ Office of Serbia had meeting with representative of the University of Kragujevac and the Technical College of Professional Studies, Kragujevac. The aim of this meeting was recommendations EACEA after the last monitoring visit and the level of their fulfillment as well as the overall progress of the project. The representatives of the University of Kragujevac and the Technical College of Professional Studies presented the project results and discussed about the financial and administrative issues with the delegation of the National the Tempus - Erazmus+ Office.

Seminar "ISO 9001" ALLOY WHEELS

The final visit in the framework of the ISO 9001 Seminar, organized with the Students' Union of the University of Zenica was realized on May 21st 2015. Seminar participants visited the factory "Alloy Wheels" Jajce. Factory "Alloy Wheels" is producing alloy wheels, for reputed car manufacturers mainly from Germany (Audi, VW, Škoda, ...). Annual production is about 800.000 pieces of aluminum wheels of various profiles, from 13 to 22 inches. Factory has successfully implemented and certified management systems according to ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001. During the visit, the students were introduced with these standards and their importance for this very factory. They visited the production facilities and laboratories in the factory and directly demonstrated the need and justification for all these certificates, owned by this company. Mobility to Cracow University of Economics, Poland 14-19.06.2015.

During the third week of June, from 14th until 20th 2015, the representatives of the WBC partners visited Cracow University of Economics, the partner on the TEMPUS project. This visit was planned in the scope of activities of the TEMPUS JP 543662-2013 EQIWBC project (DEV1.2 - Analysis of training programs in the field of QMS). The aim of this study visit is introduction with training programs in the field of QMS training of WBC experts. Round table "Education of engineers of quality management and standardization", Univesity of Belgrade

Within DEV 4.1 (TEMPUS project „Improvement of partnership with enterpises by enhencement of a regional quality management potentials in WBC“), Quality management and standardization department performed the round table "Education of engineers of quality management and standardization". The event was held at Faculty of organizational sciences (FOS), University of Belgrade (28.05.2015) organized by FOS and Chamber of Commerce of Serbia. Representatives were from different organizations (public and private) which have showed striving for excellence and corporate social responsibility. The objective was to create a precondition for improving the educational process of students and to affirm of the graduate profile of engineers of organizational sciences. Improvement of first and second cycle study on department Production business at Polytechnic faculty of University of Zenica

Improvement of first (Elaborate I, Consent I PTF, Consent of UNZE Senate) and second cycle (Elaborate II, Consent of PFT) study program Production business at the Polytechnic faculty of the University of Zenica is ongoing activity. Based on the experience and knowledge gained through the TEMPUS EQIWBC project, on first cycle was introduced two new course Quality Management and Measurement Technique and on the second cycle three new courses Integrated Management Systems, Standardization and Project management.

Workshop "ISO 9001", University of Zenica

In cooperation with the Students' Union of the University of Zenica, which brings together about 6,000 students, Center for Management, Quality and Development organized a 40-hour seminar during February, March and April 2015, dedicated to quality management system based on the standard ISO 9001:2008. Mobility to Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia 15-21.03.2015.

During the third week of March, from 15th until 21st 2015, the representatives of the WBC partners visited Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, the partner on the TEMPUS project. This visit is planned in the scope of activities of the TEMPUS JP 543662-2013 EQIWBC project (DEV2.3 - Development of training programs for employees). Within TEMPUS activities (DEV 4.1 Organization of workshops to promote importance of quality management in the public and private sector) on Wednesday, 01.04.2015. The Faculty of organizational sciences held "Infoday" for freshmen. The department of quality management and standardization was one of the participants at the event. Workshop - DAYS OF QUALITY, University of Belgrade

Within TEMPUS activities (DEV 4.1 Organization of workshops to promote importance of quality management in the public and private sector), on Wednesday and Thursday 15-16 April 2015 at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, the department of Quality management and standardization held “Days of quality” which included a larger number of guest lectures by some of the former and current students of the study group. Workshop QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ISO 9001), University of East Sarajevo

Workshop - Improvement of Partnership with by Enhancement of a Regional Quality Management Potentials in WBC, University of East Sarajevo

Within the TEMPUS project EQIWBC, and the IV International Congress “Engineering, Environment and Materials in Processing Industry“, a workshop took place on 6 March 2015, under the title “Improvement of Partnership with by Enhancement of a Regional Quality Management Potentials in WBC“. The aim of the workshop was to introduce the present audience with the quality management system and the state at the territory of B&H. Many examples of positive experiences in highly developed countries were presented. The significance of Quality System as a significant factor for regional development was shown. The introduction of Quality Management System (QMS) and its certification has a significant influence to the increase of competitiveness regarding small and medium sized enterprises. Participation on Quality week 2015 04.-06.03.2015.

On March 04 representatives of University of Montenegro, University of Kragujevac, University of East Sarajevo and Association for quality and standardization of Serbia participated on Quality week 2015 in Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Serbia 04-06.03.2015, in order to promote importance of QMS in WBC. Meeting in Kragujevac, Serbia

On January 23 2015, representatives from University of Belgrade, prof. Jovan Filipovic and Jelena Ruso, had meeting with representatives from University of Kragujevac, prof. Miladin Stefanovic, prof. dr Slavko Arsovski, dr Snezana Nestic and dr Aleksandar Aleksic. The meeting was held in Kragujevac. Training services for persons from company PETA GAMA 2005 d.o.o. regarding implementation of ISO 9001:2008 and HACCP

On 22. 23. and 26. January 2015, Center for Quality associates, prof. dr Slavko Arsovski and prof. dr Miladin Stefanovic, from University of Kragujevac has provided training services to company PETA GAMA 2005 d.o.o. in the field of ISO 9001:2008 and HACCP. On 2. December 2014, representatives from the University of Montenegro, prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapic, Doc. dr Jelena Jovanovic and Aleksandar Vujovic, performed a seminar about implementation Prerequisite Programs and HACCP system. Seminar was realized in accordance with new training program for implementation HACCP. The seminar was realized in restaurant Papagaj – Djenovici. 2nd international scientific conference "COMETa 2014" Jahorina, East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina.

This visit was planned and organized in the scope of project activities, which is realized through the partnership with University of East Sarajevo and with a WBC representatives group. This visit was planned in the scope of activities of the TEMPUS JP 543662-2013 EQIWBC project (DISS1.1 - Presentations at partner Universities) and participation on 2nd international scientific conference "COMETa 2014". Meeting with representative from the Union of employers

On December 10, 2014, during 16th national and 2nd international scientific conference, Kopanonik, Serbia, representatives from University of Montenegro and University of East Sarajevo have a meeting with representative from the Union of employers. Monitoring of EQIWBC Tempus project in Montenegro

On November 19 2014, the University of Montenegro hosted a Programme Manager of the EC Tempus Office Brussels, Franco Burgio. Prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapic, dr Jelena Jovanovic, dr Aleksandar Vujovic, Vanja Drljevic and Ranko Lazovic were attended this meeting with a representative of EACEA. Participation on Quality forum and business excellence Serbia 17-19.11.2014.

Project partners from University of Montenegro, University of Kragujevac, University of Belgrade, University of East Sarajevo and Association for quality and standardization of Serbia participated on the Quality forum and business excellence in Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Serbia 17-18.11.2014.     Meeting in restaurant Papagaj, d.o.o. regarding implementation of HACCP and ISO 9001.

    On 5. November 2014, representatives from the University of Montenegro, coordinator prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapic, and Doc. dr Jelena Jovanovic, had a meeting with representatives of restaurant Papagaj d.o.o. The meeting was realized in restaurant Papagaj - Djenovici with aim to make agreement about consulting services regarding implementation HACCP and ISO 9001 in the restaurant. Representatives from the University of Montenegro performed a monitoring of the restaurant’s facilities. The result of the meeting was a reached agreement about cooperation regarding implementation HACCP and ISO 9001.

    Meeting in Kragujevac, Serbia between partners from UNIKG and UNES

    On November 4 2014, prof. dr Slavisa Moljevic, prof. dr Bogdan Maric and MSc Ranka Gojkovic from University of East Sarajevo, had meeting with prof. dr Slavko Arsovski, dr Snezana Nestic and dr Aleksandar Aleksic from University of Kragujevac. The meeting was held in Kragujevac. The main topics were: discussion about preparation of trainings and procedures for network of centers for quality.

    Improvement of selected courses from University of Kragujevac study programs

    In the scope of project activity Improvement of selected courses from Universities' study programs (DEV 3.5) Faculty of Engineering at University of Kragujevac was obtained consent from Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty to improve its courses listed below.     Meeting in Kragujevac, Serbia between partners from UNIKG and UNB

    On October 24 2014, prof. Jovan Filipovic from University of Belgrade, had meeting with prof. Miladin Stefanovic from University of Kragujevac. The meeting was held in Kragujevac. The main topics were: discussion about purchase of equipment, preparation for trainings and other future activities.

    Mobility to University of Girona October 2014 19.10.-25.10.2014.

    During the fourth week of October, from 20th until 24th 2014, the representatives of the WBC partners have visited University of Girona, in Girona, Spain, the partner on the TEMPUS project. This visit was planned in the scope of activities of the TEMPUS JP 543662-2013 EQIWBC project (DEV2.2 - Training in the field of QMS for professionals). The aim of this study visit was training of WBC experts in the field of quality. The University of Girona is leading EU partner for this working package and it has trained academic staff and professionals from WBC. The goal was to provide academic staff and professionals from WBC with needed level of knowledge and skills, for delivering the training services in the field of QMS, for employees and top management from enterprises.     Training for persons from Regional Center for Professional Development of Education Personnel, Nis.

    On 18. October 2014, representatives from the University of Montenegro, prof. dr Jovan Filipovic, Mladen Djuric and Jelena Ruso, performed training about Quality management and standardization in education. The purpose of the training is to provide interactive presentation of topics, as well as steer discussions on current problems in the education system related to terms of quality and standardization and application of the management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, ISO 22000, ISO 26000, etc.). Participants of the training were associates in elementary school, directors/assistant directors of elementary school and high school, elementary school teachers, high school teachers and subject teachers – grammar school.     Tempus meeting in Tivat, Montenegro 22.09.-25.09.2014.

    Participants from Serbia, BIH, Spain, Slovakia, Poland, Portugal and EOQ visited project grant-holder from Montenegro for the review of previous activities on the TEMPUS project. Also, beside review, there were held workshops Implementation of the Personnel Certification Body based on ISO 17024 for all EQIWBC TEMPUS participants and Innovation Management Systems (IMS) and its Integration with Quality Management Systems (QMS): The Portuguese Case of NP 4457:2007. Center for Quality on the Faculty of mechanical engineering Podgorica held 8th International Conference about quality, management, engineering, education, and environmental protection. More info…

    Project participants visited University of Belgrade.

    Representatives from University of Kragujevac (dr Aleksadndar Aleksic and Aleksandar Djordjevic), Business Innovation Center (Vojislav Veljkovic) and University of East Sarajevo (prof dr. Slavisa Moljevic and Ranka Gojkovic) visited Belgrade on 9th of September, 2014. They had meeting at University of Belgrade with the representatives of Faculty of Organizational Science (prof. dr Jovan Filipovic and Mladen Djuric). During that day, participants on the project also visited 11th International Conference “Standardization, Prototypes and Quality: A means of Balkan countries’ collaboration” and 19th EURAS Annual Standardisation Conference: “Cooperation among standardisation organizations and the scientific and academic community” organized by Faculty of Organizational Science, University of Belgrade, Belgrade.     Representatives of Center for Quality Podgorica visited Institut Simo Milosevic in Igalo, Montenegro.

    On June 07 2014, the representatives from the University of Montenegro, coordinator prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapic, and prof. dr Aleksandar Vujovic, visited the enterprise Institut Simo Milosevic in Igalo on montenegrian coast. Institute in Igalo is very representative institution in field of health care. The representatives held a seminar on the subject of Quality management systems improvement and performed the survey of situation with the aim of implementing the ISO 9001 standards in Institute.

    Training for professionals (ISO 9001 and ISO 10012)

    Between May and July 2015, the Centre for Management, Quality and Development of the University of Zenica held a joint seminar for representatives of the Local Development Agency ZEDA and company GLOVIS Ltd. Zenica. The seminars covered topics from standards ISO 9001 and ISO 10012. ZEDA is a development institution whose mission is to create a development priorities of Zenica Municipality, to create partnerships for the implementation of development projects, to prepare them, and coordinate their implementation. ZEDA is the central organization for support of the development of the Municipality, which is achieved through direct cooperation and strong support by the Municipality as local authorities. In the past period, ZEDA performed a series of concrete tasks and one of them is the establishment of accredited laboratories for testing of furniture and wood, as the first such laboratory in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Company Glovis Ltd. was founded in the fall of 2011 with the aim to bring innovations and solutions for waste management in the Bosnian market and to encourage the awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development. As one of the major suppliers of utilities and outdoor furniture, concrete products, specialized vehicles and machinery, they are able to offer quality and interesting products of renowned manufacturers as their general and exclusive representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the end of the seminars, participants expressed their satisfaction and the need for expansion to other segments offered by the Centre for Management, Quality and Development.     Representative of University of Mihno, Portugal, visited Serbia.

    Representatives from University of Minho, Portugal prof. Goran Putnik and Cátia Alves visited Serbia during July 2014. On July 7, 2014 they had meeting at University of Kragujevac with the representatives of Center for Quality (prof. Danijela Tadic, prof. Slavko Arsovski, prof. Miladin Stefanovic, Aleksandar Aleksic and Snezana Nestic). During the July 8, 2014 they provided training for the academic staff, on July 9, 2014, they provided consulting activities for Business Innovation Center and their tenants as well (small startup companies in different fields).     Open call for experts in field in QMS from University of Kragujevac and University of Belgrade

    Inter-tempus coaching, Kragujevac

    Inter-tempus coaching with “Development And Improvement Of Automotive And Urban Engineering Studies In Serbia” – DIAUSS, JP 516729-2011, project was held within QUALITY FESTIVAL 2014. This meeting was part of seminars for teachers of automotive and urban engineering courses (from all Serbian participating universities) in order to provide knowledge transfer to Serbian partners. The purpose of the seminars was to increase the capacities of university teachers for the development of new teaching materials for the realization of defined and upgraded courses at four Serbian Universities.

    Tempus meeting in Kragujevac 19.05.-23.05.2014

    University of Kragujevac has organized meeting in the scope of activities related to the project 543662-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-ME-TEMPUS-JPHES. The first part of activities was related to the realization of activities within:
    • WP1 (Dev. 1.1 Analysis of experiences from EU partners’ countries, Dev.1.2 Analysis of training programs in the field of QMS from EU partners and those existing in the PC, Dev. 1.3 WBC regional enterprises’ and customers’ needs from the aspect of QMS and Dev.1.4 Development of the model and approach for QMS improvement in WBC)

    Mobility to University of Minho, May 04-10.2014.

    During the second week of May, from 04th until 10th 2014, the representatives of the WBC partners was visited the University of Minho, (Campus of Azurém, Guimaraes, Portugal) the partner on the TEMPUS project. This visit was planned in the scope of activities of the TEMPUS JP 543662-2013 EQIWBC project (DEV1.1 - Analysis of experiences from EU partners’ countries). The aim of this study visit was introduction with experiences from EU partners’ in the field of QMS. Professor Sergio Sousa presented Quality Management Curricula at the University of Minho and Professor Fernando Romero told about instruments for enhancement of university – industry relationship. Marta Catarino from the Rectorate of the University of Minho presented the UMinho policy towards cooperation with companies. Professor Goran Putnik had presentation of Learning Factory Model and Laboratory Settings as Advanced Platform for Enhancement of University-Industry relationship. The representatives of the WBC partners also visited a company that cooperates with University of Minho (CVR, PIEP and CCG), campus of Gualtar facilities and technological park (AVEPARK) and spin-off center (SPINPARK).     Monitoring of EQIWBC Tempus project in Serbia

    On April 29 2014, the University of Kragujevac hosted a delegation of the National Erasmus+ Office of Serbia and partners on the project, the Technical College of Professional Studies, Kragujevac, the Business Innovation Centre LLC Kragujevac and the Association for quality and standardization of Serbia, Krusevac. The aim of this meeting was preventive field monitoring visit to the project EQIWBC – “Improvement of partnership with enterprises by enhancement of a regional quality management potential in WBC”, as part of the standard monitoring arrangements for all Tempus projects. The representatives of the University of Kragujevac and project partners presented the project results and discussed about the financial and administrative issues with the delegation of the National Erasmus+ Office.

    Inter-tempus coaching, Kragujevac

    On April 25 2014, the representatives of the University of Kragujevac, prof dr Miladin Stefanovic, dr Aleksandar Aleksic and dr Snezana Nestic, had inter-tempus coaching in Kragujevac with “Development And Improvement Of Automotive And Urban Engineering Studies In Serbia” – DIAUSS, JP 516729-2011, project. This meeting was part of quality control of the DIAUSS project, with emphasize on the quality of outcomes/results dedicated to working packages and expected results till the end of the project.

    WBC National Working group meeting

    National working group meeting of partners from Bosnia in Herzegovina was held at the University of Zenica, on March 3rd 2014. Project partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina analyzed the data collected for national report. The report will be prepared by the end of April 2014, and it will cover the following:
    - Analysis of training programs in the field of QMS and those existing in B&H
    - WBC regional enterprises’ and customers’ needs from the aspect of QMS in B&H.

    Monitoring of EU Tempus projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina

    University of Zenica hosted a delegation of the EC Tempus Office Brussels (Philippe Ruffio), National Tempus Office of B&H Sarajevo (Suad Muhibic, Aida Maric) and European Commission Office Sarajevo (Jadranka Mihic) on April 7 2014. The delegation discussed the implementation of past and current Tempus projects in which the University of Zenica participates. Most of the meeting was devoted to the new projects, which started in 2014: "Fostering students' entrepreneurship and open innovation in university-industry collaboration" and "Improvement of Partnership with Entreprises by Enhancement of Regional Quality Management Potentials in WBC". After the meeting with project participants (representatives of University of Zenica, University of East Sarajevo and City Development Agency East Sarajevo), and management of the University of Zenica, the delegation also visited Zenica-Doboj Canton Government on April 10 2014, where they discussed the financial issues of project implementation with Canton's prime minister, minister for education/science and minister for finances. The ministers promised their full support for the implementation of international projects at the University of Zenica and overcoming the financial obstacles that currently exist at the cantonal level.

    Seminar in the field of QMS

    On April 04 2014, the representatives from the University of Montenegro, coordinator prof. dr Zdravko Krivokapic, prof. dr Jelena Jovanovic and prof. dr Aleksandar Vujovic, visited the enterprise Bjelasica Rada from Bijelo Polje. The enterprise Bjelasica Rada is producing the mineral water Rada in plastic and glass bottles. The representatives held a seminar on the subject of ISO 9000 and quality, and performed the survey of situation with the aim of implementing the ISO 9001 standards in Bjelasica Rada.

    Project partners participated on 3rd PAR International Leadership Conference 2014, Opatija, Croatia 05-07.03.2014.

    Professor dr Slavko Arsovski and professor dr Miladin Stefanovic were participating on 3rd PAR International Leadership Conference 2014: “High Performing Teams – a Formula for Success”, which was held from 05th until 07th March 2014 in Opatija, Croatia. The aim of this visit was presentation of the TEMPUS JP 543662-2013 EQIWBC project and introduction the participants with the objectives and dissemination of TEMPUS project.

    Project partners participated on Quality week in Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Serbia 04/05.03.2014.

    On March 04 2014, representatives of University of Montenegro, prof. dr. Z. Krivokapic, A. Vujovic and J. Jovanovic visited Kragujevac. They had meeting with prof. dr S. Arsovski, M. Stefanovic, and S. Nestic. The main topic was discussion about development of reports and preparation for trainings and other activities. On March 05 representatives of University of Montenegro, and University of Kragujevac (listed above) had meeting in Belgrade with prof. dr Zoran Punosevac (AQS), and representatives of University of East Sarajevo and University of Belgrade. They discussed preparation of reports and preparation for training and other activities. During that day they participated on Quality week in Serbian Chamber of Commerce in order to promote concept of improvement of QMS in WBC.

    Representative of University of Mihno, Portugal, visited Serbia 17/21.02.2014.

    Representative of University of Mihno, Portugal prof. Putnik visited Serbia during February 2014. Firstly he had meeting with representatives of University of Belgrade. On February 19, 2014 he had meeting at University of Kragujevac with the representatives of Center for Quality (prof. Tadic, prof. Arsovski and prof. Stefanovic) as well as representative of Higher Technical College. The topic of the meeting was preparation of reports about QMS in WBC and EU. After this meeting prof. Putnik had meeting with another TEMPUS partner, BIC Kragujevac. Prof. Putnik had one day training for representatives of small, startup companies for Business Innovation Center about importance of Quality management system for their business.

    Project's objectives

    The wider objective of this project is to improve regional quality in order to increase competitiveness of the regional economy and improve quality of life. The specific objectives of the project are the development of training programs and consulting services for quality improvement (through training and services for enterprises in the field of quality of products and services, quality assurance, CE mark, ISO standards and quality management systems) in regional enterprise; improvement of regional cooperation and cooperation with enterprises and providing feed back for improvement of University courses in the field of quality. The realizing of these objectives should improve the level of quality and business competitiveness in business in the region of the selected Western Balkan Countries (WBC). The goal is securing and enhancing competitiveness of WBC enterprises by continuously improving productivity and process quality based on close university – enterprise relations.

    Kick off meeting,09-12, January 2014

    The kick off meeting for TEMPUS EQIWBC project will be hold in January 2014 in Montenegro. All partners will participate on that event, presenting their Universities and current issues on their Universities. Other important issues were also addressed such: management, financial issues, reporting, and quality management. (more inforamation)

    Pre - Kick - off meeting - December 24, 2013, Kragujevac

    On December 24, representatives of EQI WBC had meeting in order to prepare kick off meating and to define tasks for the first year. Representatives of University of Kragujevac and BIC had meeting.

    Inter TEMPUS coaching - Meeting with representatives of CareerS TEMPUS SM 517119-2011

    On December 18, representatives of CareerS TEMPUS SM 517119-2011 presented their requests from enterprises according to the knowledge, skills and quality of human resources. The data about knowledge that future employees should have as well as the most needed profiles of employees were presented. Representatives of (A. Aleksic, S. Nestic and M. Stefanovic) TEMPUS EQIWBC took part in the meeting in order to get information about position of the quality experts (managers and engineers). It was concluded that there is a need for the experts from the field of the quality.

    Preparation for Kick - off Meeting and the begining of the project
